Chancery Lane Surgery is an NHS Primary Care Practice in Nuneaton serving 6,200 patients by 3 General Practitioners’ and a team of other health professionals providing care to local residents. We offer traditional patient-centered GP care appointments 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. with Extended Hours pre-booked appointments 9:00 to 12:00 on Saturdays.
We offer easy, secure access to book appointments and order repeat medication online where appropriate and have achieved paperlight status.

IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT FACE TO FACE APPOINTMENTS
You may have seen in the news this week (w/c 14/9/2020) about GPs being asked to provide more face-to-face appointments and we wanted to give you an update on the current situation.
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic we have remained open and seeing patients. To help keep both you and our own staff safe, we have changed the way our appointments work: you may have been offered a telephone appointment or even a video appointment instead of being asked to come in to the practice. Offering these types of appointments has helped some patients to access appointments they wouldn’t normally have been able to attend due to their commitments, such as their work or caring responsibilities.
We understand that some of you may prefer face-to-face appointments, but hopefully you understand why we have had to make these changes. Where someone has needed to come into practice, either because it was medically necessary or important for their care, we have and will continue to ask them to come in and see us.
COVID-19 is still an ongoing problem and we need to keep our focus on keeping you safe and reducing your risk of catching the virus. Here are some of the ways we’ve been doing this:
- Regularly cleaning to a high standard all areas of the practice;
- Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE);
- Maintaining social distancing in the practice.
We also need to look after our staff, who are people just like you. Some may have health issues or other factors that can potentially put them more at risk, so it is vital we keep them safe so that we can keep providing a good quality service to you.
Increasing the number of patients in the surgery means we increase the risk for everyone. We want to do the best we can for our patients because we care about you and the people we look after.
As always, we are available to talk to patients, and we want to hear from those who need us. While we understand patients’ frustrations with the current situation, we hope that you will continue to help and support us, as you have always supported the NHS, so that we can go on providing you with care and support in the coming weeks and months.

EXTENDED ACCESS SERVICE
Routine 'Extended Access' to GP, Advance Nurse Practictioner and Practice Nurse appointments for patients registered across North Warwickshire and Nuneaton & Bedworth Boroughs are accessable from Chancery Lane Surgery. PLEASE NOTE: You must contact your own registered practice to book one of these appointments.

This service will offer patients the opportunity to access an appointment with a GP between the hours of:

9:00 am - 5:00 pm
We wish to stres that, whilst this service is being delivered from Chancery Lane Surgery, you may not be seen by a Clinician who you would ususally see at the surgery.
Appointments will only be offered to patients registered with a Warwickshire North CCG practice, if the practice has agreed to participate in this Extended Access Service and to those patients who have agreed to share their data between health care providers.
Unfortunate, this new service does mean that due to operational demands and Information Governance legalisation, we will no longer be able to provide an opportunity for patients registered at Chancery Lane Surgery to collect prescriptions on a Saturday Morning, we apologise for any inconvenience but our reception staff will be more than happy to discuss alternative options with you.

HOW YOU ORDER YOUR REPEAT MEDICATION
Patients can order their repeat medication on-line or bring their slip into the surgery or by telephoning the Patient Ordering Direct (POD) service on 02476-246025 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday - your prescription will still be available for collection from your usual nominated location within 48 working hours. Please speak to a member of the Reception staff if you have any queries or require further information.

CLOSED FOR TRAINING
The surgery will be closed for staff training on WEDNESDAY 23rd September from 12:30 p.m. reopening on Thursday 24thSeptember at 8:00 a.m.
